The latest tour of the legendary Italian rock star Vasco Rossi captivated thousands of fans (620,000 tickets sold) with epic concerts at the San Siro Stadium in Milan and the San Nicola Stadium in Bari. Vasco delivered unique emotions, thanks also to a perfect synergy between music and cutting-edge technology.

The power and versatility of the Ayrton Cobra, chosen and controlled by lighting designer, Giovanni Pinna, once again allowed for the creation of spectacular stage designs and breathtaking light shows, accompanying Vasco’s music in a sensory journey that touched the hearts of all present. Thanks to the quality of the projections and the perfect synchronization with the music and choreography, « Vasco Live 2024 » stood out once again as one of the most innovative and memorable musical events of the year.

« For the tour’s lighting, we used a total of 100 Ayrton Cobra », comments Giovanni Pinna. « I chose these fixtures for their exceptional tracking capability, beam function, water resistance, and their reliability, characteristics that I have found satisfying on numerous previous occasions. »

The Cobra were distributed evenly across the entire stage, from the floor to the roof, creating a uniform setup that covered practically the entire scenic arrangement. This strategic positioning allowed the Cobra to be used for spectacular visual effects, tracking beams, and dynamic movements that helped make the show powerful and engaging.

Vasco Rossi’s show needed to convey power, grandeur, and emotion. With the stadiums all sold out, engaging the audience through lights and screens was essential. The lighting design was perfectly integrated into the stage design concept, highlighting the frames formed by the triangular LED screens and illuminating the set design placed between them. The result was a uniform and well-balanced visual experience.

During the show, the Cobra fixtures had numerous moments in the spotlight. “When it came to using tracking beams and precise effects, the Cobras proved to be irreplaceable,” continues Pinna. “The choice of a fixture is always tied to the creative vision of a lighting designer. The Cobra have unique properties that other luminaires do not possess, which is why I chose them. Their reliability during the tour was excellent, with no issues despite the heavy rain on almost all the Milanese nights. Aesthetically, the Cobra stand out for their compact and modern design, adding a pleasant visual touch to the entire setup.”

The Cobra played a crucial role in the success of the « Vasco Live 2024 » tour, demonstrating that technological innovation can transform a concert into an extraordinary visual experience. The perfect fusion of music, lights, and stage design made each evening unforgettable.
