Some classics never fade, they simply evolve. Cinderella, The Musical has arrived at Madrid’s iconic Teatro Coliseum with a contemporary and visually striking production that confirms Stage Entertainment Spain’s ability to reinvent timeless stories for today’s audiences.

Featuring a modern, empowered Cinderella, 34 performers on stage, 20 live musicians, and a fast-paced, ever-changing choreography, the show demands a lighting design capable of supporting the narrative at every moment. In this production, lighting is not just decorative: it plays a key role in shaping the visual storytelling.

To bring this ambitious vision to life, Fluge Audiovisuales has deployed a lighting system built around 115 Ayrton Rivale Profile luminaires, which form the backbone of the show’s dynamic lighting design. The Rivale fixtures are responsible for creating atmosphere, defining space and guiding the audience’s focus throughout each performance.

The Ayrton Rivale Profile proves to be an ideal solution for a large-scale musical. Its combination of output, precision and flexibility allows seamless transitions between intimate scenes and large ensemble numbers, while maintaining full control over colour, framing and consistency. This versatility is especially valuable in a production with constant changes in rhythm, mood and visual language.

Throughout the show, Rivale’s advanced optical system and precise framing capabilities enable clean scene composition, even in the presence of complex scenery and costumes. Its effects and colour transitions add depth and movement without overwhelming the stage, supporting the storytelling rather than competing with it.

Cinderella, The Musical is a strong example of how today’s lighting technology can elevate a theatrical production, giving designers the tools to push creativity further while maintaining reliability in a demanding, daily performance environment. With Rivale Profile at its core, the lighting design plays a decisive role in bringing this modern fairytale to life on Madrid’s Gran Vía.
