On February 1st, 2025, legendary Basque band Esne Beltza bade farewell to their fans with a spectacular final concert at Bilbao Arena in Miribilla, Spain. With 8,000 people in attendance, the event was a true celebration of the band’s career, featuring a stunning visual production that matched the energy of their music.

At the heart of the lighting design were 24 Ayrton Rivale Profile fixtures, used extensively to enhance the atmosphere of the show. The concert marked one of the first major events in Spain to feature Rivale Profile, showcasing its power, precision, and efficiency in a large-scale production.

Lighting design was led by Jon Mentxaka, who crafted an immersive and dynamic lighting setup for the farewell show. Rivale Profile units were positioned to create a strong backlight effect, reinforcing the depth of the stage while ensuring seamless integration with the large LED screens used throughout the performance. « We needed a spot fixture with a high luminous output, and Rivale delivered exactly what we were looking for, » says Iker Gartzia, Technical Director. « Its powerful intensity and excellent colour mixing allowed us to shape the look of the show without losing definition or brightness. »

One of Rivale’s standout features is its exceptional lumens-to-watt ratio, making it one of the most efficient spot fixtures on the market. Its ability to deliver high brightness with optimized power consumption ensured a visually striking performance while maintaining energy efficiency throughout the production.

These qualities came to the fore most notably against the large LED screens that played a key role in the stage design, where one of the main challenges was to balance the lighting with the video content. The Rivale Profile fixtures provided the necessary power to stand out, while their smooth colour transitions and precise optics allowed for seamless integration with the video effects. « The biggest challenge was making sure that lighting complemented the video content without overpowering it. Rivale gave us the right balance—its intensity and colour quality made it the perfect choice, » adds Gartzia.

Esne Beltza’s final concert in Miribilla was an emotional and unforgettable event, where every detail of the production contributed to the immersive experience. The production was carried out by ABS Fluge Euskadi, which provided sound, lighting, and video for the event. Mauka Music, the band’s management, played a key role in bringing this farewell concert to life, ensuring that every element—from the technical production to the stage setup—was executed to perfection.

The use of Ayrton Rivale Profile in one of its first major appearances in Spain proved its capability as a high-performance fixture for large-scale shows. The stunning images captured by photographer Gaizka Peñafiel showcase the power of Rivale in action, bringing depth and intensity to the stage. As Rivale continues to make its mark on the professional lighting industry, this event stands as a testament to its versatility, efficiency, and power—a fixture designed to meet the demands of today’s most ambitious productions.
