Welcome to AyrtonLIVE 16.

In these unprecedented times we need a little certainty, and you can rely on your next issue of AyrtonLIVE, to deliver an interesting read with fabulous images that showcase some of the great work lighting designers have been creating with Ayrton fixtures.

In these pages you will find reports covering theatre, clubs, events, and live music the world over, starting with the super-creative Circus Flic Flac in Dortmund. Perseo features heavily throughout this issue, shaking off the bad weather on a number of outdoor events and productions in Scotland and the US, while Khamsin-S makes its mark on international tours from Mika and the Jonas Brothers; a new club, Club Beehive, has opened in Shanghai with The Art of Light choosing a plethora of Khamsin-S, Bora-S and Mistral-S for its bespoke design.

We give you a unique feature in this issue – a blog from John McMurtrie, Iron Maiden’s official photographer. His News from the Picturedesk gives an insight into the challenges posed to the R’n’R photographer by LED lighting, and how Bora has been a revelation in helping to overcome them.

Of course, no spring issue would be complete without a mention of this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show where LD Bob Barnhart employed a bank of 120 Perseo fixtures as a centrepiece for its spectacular design.

We hope this issue of AyrtonLIVE entertains you during your stay-at-home time and inspires you and your customers as you plan your upcoming projects.

Don’t forget to keep in touch with your Ayrton sales team for more information on Karif-LT and Domino, the two new models from Ayrton which are shipping this spring. And keep an eye on our social media pages for ideas on how to pass the time/raise your feel-good factor at #AyrtonUnitedWeStand.
