Ayrton fixtures welcomed the Champions League-Winning French Team at Puskás Arena
Puskás Arena was preparing for the most significant event in its history to date. The 2026 UEFA Champions League Final was held in the world-class stadium inaugurated in 2019, featuring French side Paris Saint-Germain and English club Arsenal.
To further enhance the venue for one of the biggest events in the sporting world, several upgrades were carried out prior to the final. As part of these developments, LISYS-PROJECT Ltd. had the opportunity to supply and install 24 Ayrton Mamba laser-phosphor source moving head luminaires, capable of delivering illuminance levels of up to 26,000 lux at a distance of 100 metres.
The luminaires were installed on the stadium’s structural level, on the so-called catwalk, among the existing sports lighting fixtures. The installation also required the fabrication of new mounting structures designed to integrate with the existing steel framework. Nine luminaires were installed along each of the two long sides of the stadium, while three units were mounted on each of the shorter sides.
Control of the Mamba fixtures is provided by one MA grandMA3 4Port Node DIN-Rail device installed on each longitudinal side of the stadium. These devices are connected to the same control network as the sports lighting system, enabling operation of the luminaires from an MA grandMA3 compact console. Working in conjunction with the sports lighting system, the Mambas are capable of creating spectacular lighting shows within Budapest’s iconic football venue.
The power switching of the luminaires, similarly to the sports lighting fixtures, is managed by the Lutron control system.
