In 2016, Ayrton made headlines by launching DreamSpot 18K, the first laser-source automated luminaire designed for the entertainment industry. This avant-garde fixture powerfully embodied our pioneering vision. In 2021, Ayrton unveiled Cobra, an iconic projector for a generation of light designers in search of creativity, which went on to become a global success. Today, Ayrton continues to write this story, inspired by the most mythical of serpents: Naja, the ultimate expression of Cobra, elevated by its exceptional performance. Naja is the most sophisticated luminaire Ayrton has ever created. This revolutionary projector opens the door to the extraordinary with mind-bending psychedelic effects and an experience of light that is intense, immersive and ever more fascinating. A weatherproof, ultra-powerful, fully equipped luminaire that channels excess into a compact format, with its oversized 200 mm optics delivering a homogeneous 0.6° beam. With astonishing brightness and precision, Naja offers a 35x zoom range and a phenomenal illuminance of 1,840,000 lx at 10 metres.
Equipped with an abundance of features, Naja offers an ultra-fast, disc-based CMY colour-mixing system that ensures perfect colour reproduction.
A wheel with 15 complementary colours, 2 multi-colour filters, 2 minus green correction filters and a second wheel with a progressive CTO and 3 RGB+CMY multi-colour animation sections complete the palette of colour tools. Naja is endowed with multiple graphic resources, including 92 fixed and rotating metal gobos distributed across two wheels that allow the light to be sculpted. The gobos can be combined with two banks of three rotating, image-multiplying prisms, which themselves can be paired with two further banks of two rotating, image-multiplying prisms positioned at the front of the unit, enabling a multitude of complex volumetric effects and truly breathtaking looks. Continuous pan & tilt rotation and its innovative ‘Short Cut’ function further extend the possibilities for creating complex effects. Lightweight and quiet, Naja incorporates an all-new cooling system developed specifically for this light source.
