Customer relationship management

  • Answer requests for technical support, corrective maintenance,
  • Make first line diagnosis based on customer requests prior to escalating to sustaining engineering,
  • Provide technical explanations to customers,
  • Provide onsite technical support as required,
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, including setting up and running product demos,
  • Participate in tradeshows such as PLASA, Pro Light and Sound and LDI
  • Manage customer complaints,

Control, follow-up

  • Perform quality control functions as required
  • Provide end to end support of technical problems throughout the process chain ensuring satisfactory resolution,
  • Undertake fixture repair,
  • Manage the company’s demo pool, ensuring maximum availability of product,
  • Update and make modification of prototypes and first runs of products under the direction of Engineering,
  • Provide feedback to the factory on Quality Control,
  • Perform conformity/ acceptance tests,
  • Participate in the development of new products,
  • Participate in stock takes.

Technical reporting

  • Write diagnostic reports, describe the malfunctions or technical difficulties identified,
  • Report the incidents observed to the Head Product Manager.

Your profile

  • Good knowledge of current moving light technology, control protocols and their operation
  • Ability to operate a major lighting console will be considered an advantage,
  • Good technical mind, with an ability to trouble shoot in a logical and methodical manner,
  • Experience in repairing moving lights will be considered an advantage,
  • Perform well under pressure, maintaining a sense of humour at all times,
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Previous experience (including work experience) will be considered an advantage
