AYRTON, the world leader in digital lighting entertainment solutions, is looking for an experienced, ambitious and driven Technical Support Specialist based in Singapore. The main activity area will be APAC. Ayrton has experienced significant growth over the past few years and we are excited to be growing our technical service department. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing moving lights, understand trouble shooting principles and be able to communicate with customers.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in front of customers, have a clear understanding of current technology and products and be able to demonstrate and repair Ayrton’s products in high pressure environments. You will work with exceptional people, the latest technologies and being a part of a team making remarkable events happen. You will have responsibility for servicing and maintaining moving lights fixtures and equipment using company procedures, standards and guidelines.

Job Duties:

  • Receive, test, repair and maintain lighting fixtures and equipment using set company procedure and guidelines,
  • General repair and maintenance of the equipment, including providing technical support to customers as needed,
  • Perform technical diagnosis and identify fixtures requiring further repair,
  • Follow the technical problems of the after-sales service and bring support to the different stages of the resolution,
  • Prepare equipment for orders, ensure that products to be sent to customers are controlled, properly managed and reintegrated in demo stock,
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the demonstration equipment and repair as needed,
  • Provide product technical support to sales staff,
  • Travel to customers, with the sales team or on your own to demonstrate our product and perform shoot outs with the competition,
  • Work with the sales team to provice technical sales support as needed
  • Work with the inside sales team and logistics to better meet customer needs as they relate to spare parts,
  • Participate in trade shows organization and ensure their preparation and smooth technical progress,
  • Carry out inventories

Skill and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional stage lighting experience,
  • Experience of working for a key lighting manufacturer, rental/ production house or distributor is essential,
  • Ability to operate any of the main lighting control systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with ma consoles will be preferable,
  • Knowledge of visualisation software and cad programs will be seen as an advantage,
  • Responsible, efficient, results oriented and the ability to work independently and on own initiative,
  • Team player: although many tasks are individual, the service organisation will act as a team,
  • Ability to set priorities, be flexible, multi-task and meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment,
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and effectively,
  • Structured and organized reporting skills,
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices of the entertainment production and staging industry,
  • Excellent written and spoken english,
  • Excellent written and spoken other languages will be advantageous,
  • Willing to travel extensively.
